Discovery 2 rear and I think P38 Range rover. Mind you tried to remove one from Disco2 but axle too rusted to get rear shafts out, sledge hammer fail.

Disco2 uses a Rover-pattern long nose diff which won't fit a Puma LWB rear axle. As far as I know the P38 diff was only ever used on P38 front and rear, so nothing else provides a donor source (except another LWB Puma).

The P38 diff was made in both 2- and 4-gear versions but fours are hard to find. Twos are easy to find and cheap and provide a.great basis for a locker build.

It is not at all easy to find a four-gear P38 diff in my experience, but you can always buy a two-gear diff (which is much easier to find and cheaper) and rebuild it with a Ashcroft ATB or an Ashcroft four-gear centre. This may even work out less expensive. Worth bearing in mind as an option.

A quick look on Ebay reveals stacks of two-gear diffs at prices from £90 to £140, and a couple of four-gear diffs at £240, and another four-gear at £350.
