Hello,
Has anyone tried any of those on a Puma? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-7-Inch-LED-H...635-2958-0 Or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-7-LED-HEAD...635-2958-0 Thank you |

The second seller has some "Fingerless MTB gloves" (£9.99) and an " Extendable snow brush" (£24.90) for the same combined price as a set of LED headlights.
The snow brush might be useful with winter just around the corner. |

Ha ha ha… OK guys, point taken.
I checked a few items on Amazon for similar price point £50-80 and they seem to get very good reviews. Though to your point some people have mentioned MOT failures due to the shape of the beam (despite the ads mentioning they were MOT compliant) If I don’t have £350-450 to spend on a Wipac set at the moment, is there a cheaper alternative that still allows me to get LED lighting, preferably with a halo and that would still pass an MOT? Cheers |

For a budget upgrade, Wipac Crystal lights and Osram Nightbreaker bulbs seem to be highly recommend at around £70 total. They're totally legal too and not a pile of scrap when a single led fails.

Last year I bought a set of similarly priced chinese LED headlights for my wrangler and their performance was way worser than the original 30 year old Hellas. Defender 110 SW MY2011 2.4tdci decat, no EGR
Jeep Wrangler YJ 1990 4.0. Front 78' Dana 60, Rear CUCV 14 bolt |

I have tried this kind of headlights on my Harley Davidson bike. Just for fun to test what would be the "quality" of such cheap stuff, at least 10x cheaper than an original HD. Big surprises:
1) it was not better nor worst than an original one 2) it is stamped (e9) on the glass 3) it passed the MOT like a charm No water ingress, no led failure, no nothing, just works as expected since 3 years. So, for the price I would give it a try on a Defender. If any issue, just bin them, if issue with MOT just swap them for the test. My 2ct |
