Either way it will get checked over next month, hopefully, getting a loan car is a task from this new dealer. It’s got the N609 recall showing on topix so I’ll add that in too, may as well add the rear recovery eyes too. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Reappeared today whilst driving up a farm track, so as with Digger it appears it only does it on uneven ground.

But typical dealer, no loan cars and I’m still waiting to hear back if they will collect it Rolling Eyes 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

I have this happen almost daily. It clears with every ignition cycle. Pentland LR in Stirling completed Software updates on 31st August which appeared to have resolved the issue until 2nd September when normal service resumed and this fault occurs almost daily.

Should have said it is rebooked for 15th September for further Recall work. Apparently this fault does not justify the vehicle being taken off the road or a courtesy vehicle supplied. I wonder how my insurance company would deal with this if I had an accident.

My one now throws a wobbly as soon as I put it in low range, “range change not available” then the inevitable “2wd traction reduced”. Leaving it pretty much useless to be honest. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Back from the dealers today, they applied the software update and so far so good, goes into low range without throwing up the 2wd warning. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

The software update worked Rolling Eyes

Not even a week and it’s reappeared. Back to the dealer it is. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

As a frequent flyer with this issue, I would have thought you'd earnt the right to speak directly to a JLR tech/software engineer (not the dealer) responsible for the last software update and perhaps get an explanation of the issue and what each successive software iteration was supposed to do.

You'll get nothing from the dealer and no real understanding of whether what they are doing is actually addressing your issue or just tinkering at the edges.

Do JLR still have the field engineers that go from dealership to dealership dealing with persistent or quirky issues?

It’s to go back in for the N609 recall, I’ll have a chat with them see if they have any ideas, not that I expect any answers, but I’m also opening a case with LR customer services. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

This is the bit that LR have to get better at. I just cannot live with a vehicle that pretends to be a rugged and dependable off reader and a software glitch makes it no better than a Ford Focus on a muddy grass verge. Utterly pointless waste of money. 1951 80" S1 2.0

You are quite correct.

I've also found that smaller manufacturers get this customer interaction spot on whilst the bigger corporate ones not only loose it, but seem to actually shy away from it.

I’m just wondering if my 90 has actually taken the update. Read on here that 22MY owners have done OTA updates but mines yet to receive any and at times the connectivity on mine is none existent. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Had the 90HT in again on 01st October. Collected after another software update and guess what? It happened again on the way home, this is a frequently recurring fault. Getting frustrated now as I don't see where I can go from here and I fully understand the dealers predicament that they are dependent on LR furnishing them with a fix. The weather is ready to turn and a 2wd Defender is not my vehicle of choice. I've emailed the dealer so lets see what they come back with. Anyone have any thoughts about what your insurance would think about being told by the manufacturer to "drive with caution". 2021 90HT Fuji with Black Pack, 22" Sawblades
