Electrical puzzle
Evening chaps .. I have a tad of an electrical puzzle..
I’ve wired up my carling switches and all working ok .. except the illumination with side lights on ..

I’ve connected to one of the light circuits and have power to the leads for the switches..run a daisy chain link to all switches all have power yet nothing on the switches as in no light .
I’ve run a power cable to the switches and they all work ..
So I can’t work out why nothing from the cable that has power ..
?

Here is the wiring information . Yes and sorry it’s a cordura . It’s wired as per the first one.where 3 is linked to 2 and 8 is the live light feed .
As I’ve mention the switches work as they should .. apart from the internal light . If I put a live feed to 8 the green illumination light works .
I’ve linked the live feed for the lights to the dash I’ve power all along the daisy chain of wire but when I attach it the green light doesn’t come on .. hence my puzzlement.

Had a similar problem recently adding a rear wash wipe switch. Just couldn't get the switch illumination to work UNTIL I remembered that LED light are precisely what they are called - DIODES and so need the connections the correct way for there to be light. The feed for each lamp needs to be going to the correct side of each lamp (if they are daisy chained it would only need one to be wrong to take them all out).

Sorry if stating the obvious but it confused me for quite a while.

Is this wire going to ground from pin 7 Question

if not, it will let the switched led will work as it will ground thro dash lamp filaments with out dash lamps power but when power up the dash lamp no ground will be present at the switch for LED
