They must be offering the discount because they aren't on prime now so delivery is estimated as Aug 6 - Aug 16 which is fine by me as I'm not getting the car until October Laughing Cheers Ian

I saw this yesterday for the first time on mine after four months ownership

I hadn't appreciated how large it was!

It’s big, and it’s crystal clear. Still impresses me yet. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

So I have been without my vehicle since Tuesday morning... Sad

Went in for some warranty work - the Emergency Brake Assist was flagged as not available and coincidentally the cruise control had decided to disable itself. In my mind probably related. Ohand a request to install the 110 bonnet decal which didn't get on the car prir to pick up.

Tuesday was wasted at the dealership as somehow they had found themselves unable to open the bonnet "have you had any issues sir? we had to break in to it!" was the slightly worrying call on Tuesday evening - so car not returned on Tuesday.

Wednesday they found the fault - a faulty wheel speed sensor - but had to order in a replacement overnight - so car not returned on Wednesday either.

Thursday morning call "have you fixed it?" I asked hopefully - "no sir, the replacement part is on back order!" (i.e. LR UK don't have any to send out) "so you have no idea when its going to be fixed then?" I asked "no" was the reply. "You best get me a courtesy car then! And I don't want .... " and I avoidid the terms eurosh*tbox and japsh*tbox at this point "... anything not similar capability" (I'd take a DiscoSport for a laugh) "just get me a Land Rover"

Later Thursday morning Enterprise ring "we've been told to allocate you a Small SUV sir" - "what do you mean?" - "something like a Toyota CHR or a Nissan Qashcow" - "Small SUV is what all JLR requests seem to be, if we'd been told a Large SUV then it would have been something like a Jaguar F-Pace" - a complaint to the dealership next got a return call from Enterprise saying that now they would allocate a Large SUV. But not till tomorrow afternoon... So no car Thursday either.

There's more shenanigans but I shall save that. I shall update this tomorrow...

5 months in. Brand new. Taken off the road because of supply issues.
I might add that I had five solid years of ZERO failure with my trusty Isuzu DMAX before this one. Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Sorry to hear this Steve. Needless to say I am just going to go and spray my bonnet catches with some silicone lube, mine takes a few pulls of the handle to open. It feels like the either the handle, the cable or it’s mounting is flexing somehow.

With the current distribution problems all over industry it’s hardly surprising that parts are in the wrong place. Hope you get it sorted sooner than later. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

No worries - it's actually been spending a lot of time on the drive anyway - but I'm intrigued to see what Enterprise deem a Large SUV when I get the call tomorrow...

As far as the bonnet catch, the last I heard (before they found out they couldn't get hold of a new wheel sensor) was that the bonnet catches were being 'adjusted' so the non-opening bonnet issue wouldn't happen again! Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Interesting to see what you get SN. Mine is booked in to the bodyshop for a week to replace the front passenger door that was damaged by a LR assist technician.

AA had originally booked me a ‘Ford Focus or similar’ but have been persuaded to book me a large SUV.

Not good, mines going in on the 20th for its 2wd warnings, can’t get a loan car so dealer is collecting it. Hopefully only a day job.

Hope you get it back soon. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

I’m hoping it’s just a software patch but Topix is showing that my 90 needs N609 carried (seat runner may deform). If my dealer is on the ball the parts will be already ordered Rolling with laughter 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Well this is horrid - though not as horrid as a Toyota CHR or Nissan Cashcow I could have got...

Not impressed. Black, every panel scratched, soft rear drivers side tyre. And just not a nice place to sit in I'm afraid.

Too car like for me and the 2 litre D240 engine pulls OK, it just hasn't got the same base beat as my 3 litre...

It's a proper unloved rental car kicked around between Enterprise depots in the North West I think. Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Velar, not too shabby for a loan car, loved mine. Coming from Discovery’s it was a shock to the system sitting lower down, happy to be back to the higher seating position though and not sure I’d have another Velar. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Now's the perfect time to clear out the garage and garden, and fill it with stuff to take down the tip.

And at least while you have it, you are racking the miles up on someone else's vehicle too. Defender 90 HSE 250D 2022MY - Gave up after two failed orders
