Just for completeness.

I confirmed all the part numbers and quantities and made a list of the genuine parts prices. I also checked the contents of the superpro kits and found that quite a lot of the bushes had to be bought separately. The price of genuine vs superpro is basically the same.

None whatsoever. Just completed swapping out my 10/12 year old SuperPro bushes this morning, replacing them with... SuperPro bushes Rolling Eyes No wheels left the ground. Miffy hasn't felt so good in at least a couple of years, I will definitely not be leaving it so long next time. Thumbs Up

As above the cheapest place to buy them at the moment is Recovery4x4.co.uk and hunt around for the bolt kits as the price does vary.

Thanks again for that link - really good write up and has sold me on them.

I've just ordered them now, main set from Recovery4x4 and all the rest from Paddocks.

My only convern is the ARB bushes that I've ordered.

I've measured my front ARB at 25.5mm dia and the rear at 19.5mm dia. I did have to scrape off some dinitrol to get to that measurements so there's still a chance they're slightly over. But while the ARB bushes ordered from Paddocks do include a note saying they correspond to the LR part numbers (NTC6828 and EGP1889), they also have the internal diameters listed as 25 and 18mm - I just hope they're right as I do know that Superpro offer this part with a number of different internal diameters - I'll get out there with a bit of emery cloth to double check.

Super Thumbs Up Honestly I do not think you will be disappointed, I know I ma not. I also have the ARB bushes as well and they fit perfectly, or at least the front pair do. I have the X-Deflex ARB on the rear which has a much chunkier piece of metal, c.25mm or so.

It is funny but having just got back from a quick drive out to the woodlands for a dog walk I realised that the marginally concerning clonk I had thought was a transmission clonk seems to have been in fact worn bushes. No clonks no rattles and Miffy feels like she's as light as a feather in the corners Thumbs Up

If you have standard LR bushes installed at the moment and I am sure you said you did, be prepared to drill out the rubber, push out the centre metal sleeve, then with a hack saw cut slots in the outer sleeve. Use a chisel to bend the sleeve inwards, then tap the remainder out with a suitably sized socket on an extension. It's the easiest way I have found to do this DIY style.Do not bother with burning the rubber out it takes too much time and stinks. Drilling is the way to do it. Unless you have a press that is Rolling Eyes

The only thing that may slow you down is if the bolts have rusted to the inner sleeves of the bushes. To get these out you will need an angle grinder with a thin slitting disc. Protective glasses etc are essential, but there is enough space to cut the radius arms or trailing arms out of the axles. After that it is as above and when fitting the SuperPro bushes grease is you friend. Use the supplied grease for the bushes and copper slip for the threads and bolts.

Thanks buddy.

Its actually being done for me - hence me being so pedantic about parts and part numbers (I'm supplying the kit and you know it'll be a drama if the garage come to fit it and its wrong). The 90 is going in to have the chassis and all underpinnings removed, blasted, galved (where possible) and resprayed. I'm getting the suspension done at no labour cost given they're going to have to remove the (yes, you're right, factory) bushes anyway.

I've just double checked and my rear, factory, ARB is definitely 20mm (or a hair underneath) - so the 18mm rear bush is going to be too tight. As well as the one that's advertised as being a direct replacement for EGP1889, the superpro part number SPF1697-18K, they also do the same bush in 19mm and 20mm diameters - thought these aren't stocked at most LR places so its all a bit odd: can't be the first person to have found this.

Did you end up going the SuperPro bushes Gasket? If so, what do you think of them?

A couple of my bushes were flagged as starting to feel a bit tired at the MOT last year and with the next MOT rapidly approaching, I think I need to bite the bullet and sort them out. 2011 CSW XS 90

I didn't in the end.

I bought them all and supplied them to the garage doing the work, but on drop off day the technicians all made a face and said they didn't rate polybushes of any description. Rather than argue the point, I took them back, sold them and bought a complete set of genuine bushes instead.

I'll still be using Superpro bushes on my other builds, but wasn't worth arguing as inevitably if I had any snags after they finished the work, I'm sure a way would have been found to blame my insistance on the bushes Laughing

Yea that's fair enough.

I generally always buy genuine (or end up buying genuine after getting stung by Britpart for the 1000th time and swearing to never buy from them again), but when you see the likes of Glynn Lewis saying they're better than "genuine" stuff that's now available, it does make you think.

It’s a shame that garage’s are ignorant to quality aftermarket products. I’ve used superpro on all of my cars, vastly superior to the oem items.

Superpro fitted 30,000 miles ago almost throughout on my 14plate (all but the antiroll bar bushes), but what a Censored it was to get the originals out lucky I had access to 30t press,
Handling is fantastic running i'm running on muds, steering wheel completely stable (no shaking) at motorway speeds
I for one will not be refitting original
