thanks for the Answer, i fould a guy who fitted one and crossed the Kalahari Desert with one fitted 2000 miles and had no heat problems and it was 44 degress, so i dont think heat will be a issue, so i think thats a road test and a half ??

I spent a lot of time in the Kalahari, Namib and the Okavango as part of a Cape Town to Nordkapp trip. I'd fit the seed nets when needed otherwise they're just collecting bugs.

Here in Australia you do need a cover to the radiator for some of our deserts. Grass seeds are the main thing to stop.
Anything like shade cloth does restrict air flow. I use window flyscreen netting, and only install it when I get to the area it is required. Another thing to watch out for is grass collecting above bash plates. It can catch fire quite easily. Regards John D - Defender 110 2.4 |
