Different fuel float arm/level to account for the different tank shapes i believe.

As said above the tanks are different sized and shapes, I believe that you can swap the floats over though.
If you’re doing the job, make sure you get a genuine pump and not a cheap aftermarket one, it will save you doing the job multiple times. Also worth getting a new locking ring as well as they are normally rusty and a pain to get off in one piece. |

Lots of people suggest only using genuine pump.
Not sure exactly why but likely to be with quality and durability. Had mine replaced 4 months ago with genuine ![]() |

From experience the aftermarket ones are very noisy and don’t last very long, but a genuine Vdo siemens unit is probably 3 or 4 times the price of a Bearmach or britpart one

Discovery ones used to be even cheaper than defender.... and you can just unclip the arm and swap over.
