Help please with fault codes and diagnosis.

I have a 2007 2.4 with the MIL on. All stock, no reap or EGR delete.

I have black smoke on start up and and when under pressure. The vehicle is in limp mode with little or no turbo. I get a chugging when I start up and get going.

Fault codes shown are:

P0100 - Mass Airflow Circuit Problem.
P0234 - Intake boost pressure sensor input signals intake pressure above the maximum specified pressure by 4 psi for more than 5 seconds
P1103 - The voltage signal from the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is higher than normal.

I have changed air filter, fuel filter and the MAF for genuine and also the VCV.

I have also remove the EGR and cleaned and refitted.

Any ideas on what is causing all this?

I have checked hoses for leaks also.

I have removed the actuator and the o ring retainer holding the arm. The arm will move but it very stiff and feels like it is almost grinding through three positions as I move it.

Have revved the engine and the aviator arm move freely when revs given.

Also I get the click click click sound when I turn off. Does this signal the EGR is working correctly?

I cleared the faults and took the vehicle for a run.

The MIL has remained off but the turbo does feel weak, its doesn't pull.

I plugged the reader back in and the only fault showing is P0234 - Intake boost pressure sensor input signals intake pressure above the maximum specified pressure by 4 psi for more than 5 seconds.

I remember reading the actuator should feel quite loose? Not taken mine off..... yet..

Hi astroarcadia, I know this post was a while ago now, but I have a similar problem. Did you get to the bottom of what caused it?
