NDP have a large stainless steel one that covers the whole bumper, don’t know if they’re planning on doing a plastic chequer plate one. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

What's the quality of this ABS stripe? The link you provide on Amazon shows it's delivered from China.

Basically feels like rubber!

I ordered Friday and it came Saturday. Which is because for me on Amazon its available on Prime Next Day

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08XKJ...&psc=1

Note the statement "Sold by DIYUCAR and Fulfilled by Amazon." - so its already in the UK at an Amazon Depot. Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Two things today, both height related.

1. I've had mine under the 6'6" barrier at our local GMWDA tip (aka recycling centre) today - slightly nervy, drove right up to the barrier in locked Access Height and then opened door, leant out and stood on the sill to check all 1985mm would fit under! - which it did by what I estimate to be about 40mm - loads of room!

2. I've also had the chance to measure the garage door clearance at our new house - c.2200mm wahay!!!! my Defender will fit in without needing Access Height! Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Don’t get carried away about getting the Defender into the garage......... check how much width there is too. In theory I could get mine into my garage height wise ............ but with 5mm clearance each side I think that’s a bit tight to allow for manoeuvring back out, and the uprights on my garage door have steel guides for the up and over door to rub gently against if I get it wrong.... if I were brave enough to put the car inside then all would be fine as I then have around 0.75m each side of the car to open the driver’s door. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Its a a double garage at the front and triple at the back - I reckon I'll be able to do a 3 point turn in it!!!!

But point taken over width thing - its two separate doors with a dividing stansion between them. Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

IMHO - got to be up there as one of the best colour combos alongside the blue/white-roof option Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Good job you got those green things on the rack - otherwise I might think this was a black and white photo - far too monochrome for me! Rolling with laughter Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

For those not on the Book of Face, made a minor mod to mine this weekend

I fitted a Sixty five quid rubber protection strip to the top of the rear bumper. A nice thick chequer plate pattern. The only issue is that it was coiled a bit tight in a box and one end tip had a negative curve on it which couldn't quite get out, so it's got a 6 inch strip of helper masking tape on it for encouragement for 24 hours

How are you finding the protection strip? Has it managed to stay stuck down and do you think it's worth the money? Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

Mine has been fine. I added an additional plastic strip between the boot seal and the start of the protection strip. The dogs claws were scratching the paint. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV
