Ours is at the Uk holding compound, I assume waiting for a transporter to the dealer, probably with Andy S new Defender as they’re heading to the same dealer😉

Ryderoo and Ajay, congrats.
I think mine is at dealer too. Sales manager away this week but has promised video walkaround on Saturday. Then another week for dealer-fit options (country pack bits and rear towing eyes). |

Early May order. No updates so far. When I’ve asked the dealer just get told they are hopeful of hearing something soon, and that orders are still trickling through, so delivery could still be September. Defender 90 HSE 250D 2022MY - Gave up after two failed orders |

This is my first land rover. I really have never experienced anything like it. This will be my second largest purchase next to my house and the customer service is so embarrasing. I feel im chasing the dealer and have to sent three or four emails to get a response. I've only been asking for an update once a month! I've just ordered some skirting boards for about £200 and they have kept me updated every step of the way, even if it was to apologise for delays or to give me progress of when they were being cut, primed or ready to go.
I understand things may be difficult with the chip situation, i can accept delays, but just keep me updated ffs. Obviously before I placed an order the rep was calling me 4-5 times a day explaining how important it was to get my order in quick. Havent heard from him since giving him £1000! I've resigned to forgetting about it and maybe getting a call one day to say I can pick it up. But, to be honest I'm looking at other cars thinking this isn't going to happen. All the excitement of buying a new car has gone. |

Thanks. Have you been given a build date or still in the holding pool? |

April and still no confirmation. Probably something to do with the XS Edition. We were pre-warned that it would be 4 to 5 months so not unexpected.

I’m still in the holding pool. I agree that the lack of dealer updates on the situation are the thing that pees me off. Especially when at the start of it, they say, ‘we’ll give you an update every two weeks’’, where on each occasion, I’ve waited longer, and then had to contact them myself. It does seem rude. I accept, and don’t mind that it’s going to take 4-5 months at least to get the vehicle, but the occasional update to give some reassurance something is happening would be much better for customer relations. Just think though, all this practice with JLR customer relations helps prepare us for the fun and games we’ll have with dealing with the service department to sort the gremlins that come with a new LR… Be patient I guess. It’s irritating, but ultimately, a first world problem. It’s ready when it’s ready. (But the occasional unprompted update would be nice!)
