Fitting a third interior light over the second row seats is a worthwhile mod whilst you've got the headlining out, as is installing wiring for anything else you might want to add (worklights, reversing camera, dash cam, etc.).
If you're going to the trouble of taking the dash out then wiper gubbins is a good call as is an upgraded washer jet, or perhaps a twin jet conversion. I'd start with the headlining and back body as the difference with these areas insulated is marked and you might decide to limit how far you go with the rest of the vehicle. Mine's a USW so was more tinny to start with but whilst I do have plans to do more when time allows, it's as far as I've got at the moment. The improvement was so great that doing the rest has moved much further down the priority list. There's some detail of what I've done here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/post711655.html#711655 Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? thanks.
Good shout on the extra interior light. I'll have a look into that. And extra cabling is also a good idea. I'll be upgrading the stereo at some point, so could run some of the cables while I'm at it. That's quite a thread you have running on your USW! Some really helpful stuff in there. Cheers |
