Click image to enlarge I know similar has been discussed in past posts regarding the Tow Kit LR005921, however, I had fitted the 12N connector successfully some years ago to my Puma 2.4 TCI 110 but never got to do the 12S connector as I could not interpret the instruction which consist of graphics and no written instruction, hence, I've ended up with the small connector which has nowhere to go, am I correct in assuming it is redundant as the instructions show the connector and what I believe to be a Wheelie bin, any guidance would be much appreciated. I think I may have partly answered my own question here, the connector is for the Battery Positive (PINK/BLUE) Pin 4 and Reversing lights (YELLOW/BROWN) Pin 1, what I still don't understand is why the kit has got a 2-pin connector on the end of it if there isn't one to connect to on the Puma loom.

It should connect to a 2 pin plug which is on your 12N loom - but currently fitted with a blanking socket (the bit the instructions tell you to wheelie bin).

Right OK I can see the problem.
You have an aftermarket costed-down 12N loom, without the 2 pin plugs/sockets: Click image to enlarge See the two rubber cavity plugs (grey large, green small) in the socket in the middle - they should have the blue/pink and purple wires coming out and the plug + blanking socket on the end - see the photo in my previous post. You can see the purple wire coming from the chassis loom into the plug, which doesn't then come out of the socket. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Many thanks Martin, I guess it's up to me to make the connection with the wires that are plugged, can you explain why I would have an after market socket please, is it the year of manufacture, as a matter of interest, I am the second owner, the first was Land Rover, Lode Lane, it was their events vehicle apparently ?

Can't explain that one at all, or whether it had a loom fitted that was a prototype or just hanging around the factory - who knows.
But you aren't alone... this appears to be a genuine LR socket but doesn't have the 2 pin plugs on it either?! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/392908294857 What I would do in your situation is make up the missing part of the loom - the 2 pin plug to the 2x terminals for the grey socket. I'd happily do this for you, however... I don't have the any terminals for that the socket, and the minimum order required to get some would make it more costly than a whole new loom Drop PaulMc a message with a link to this thread, he might have the 1x 4.8mm and 1x 2.3mm sealed male terminals that you would need to fit the socket. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Thanks Martin, I have cut the wires on the loom and removed the 2-pin plug, joined the ends with connectors and waterproofed with shrink wrap, metered up from the Auxiliary socket and all coming back fine, many thanks for your guidance in this matter.
