some people just dont care and unfortunately with no real penalties nothing is going to change
likewise why do some dog owners pick up their dogs and then hang the bag off trees etc (defies understanding)
I work in Birmingham at the moment resurfacing the roads. Its the only place I've ever worked where we have to pre-sweep the roads of detritus before we plane off the surface as we can't see the manholes/gulleys etc otherwise. Victoria Rd a couple of weeks ago the pre sweep blocked up the road sweeper three times with number plates that jammed up the suction pipe. We also have a sharps team on stand by to collect the needles/flick knives. Oh, and we get death threats almost daily. Nice place!

The Government state that this would put too much of a burden on McDonalds and damage their profits.

Modern life. There is an ‘ilk’ of people who simply don’t give a about anything except themselves. Just look at the raves and house parties during lockdown. It wasn’t about making a sacrifice to safe the NHS, or save lives, or stop the spread of COVID etc, it was about them, in the here and now, wanting a Friday night party. No bigger picture, no thought for anyone else. Anti-social behaviour is a blight on modern life and whilst it’s visible everywhere, is particularly prevalent in the UK. Biggest reason I wouldn’t move back. And sadly there are voices galore that protect these people harping on about their ‘rights’, softening laws, reducing sentences, neutralising policing etc. It’s nigh on impossible to reprimand anyone these days, certainly for ‘minor’ infractions such as this. If I ever see it happen (fag butts included) I pick it up and pop it back in the window of the culprit. Can get quite feisty. Monsieur Le Grenadier
I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....
