A defender will tow it no problem, just not as comfortable to drive as a discovery.

Which Defender were you hoping to see - traditional or New/L663 ? new Defender will be the same as your D3 with more modern tech. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Caravan manufactures did go through a period of condemning Defenders as towing vehicles because they blamed stiff suspension for fatigue on caravan drawbar and coupling. Maybe worth checking with your caravan supplier?

I thought that that was only in the era of leaf springs, pre-Defender. I've never heard of any issues with the coilers. |
