Wipers
I have noticed that the start and return points on the windscreen sometimes change, with both blades stopping short of the full sweep and then running off the bottom of the screen . Then after a few moments it returns back to the correct sweep on the screen . Could it be the motor is moving in its support ?

Quite a common issue..
More likely a worn drive cable which runs from the motor across to both blades..
Or can be the actual wiper drives at the base of each wiper.
You will need to take apart to know for sure.
Not an expensive repair...just a little fiddly.
Many write ups on here

Or in the motor drive itself, the circle falls off the pivot on the end of the crank arm and randomly changes park and sweep angles as the plastic bush moves....

Good luck!

Thank you for your replies, I replaced the cable last year because it had snapped. At the time they didn’t appear any free play in the spindles, and I stripped and re greased the gearbox on the motor. I think I will replace the motor and spindles .
