Rx 8 seat wiring
Hi All,
Apologises me again, I've removed the Airbags and kept the trim thanks to a fantastic video I found on YouTube.

Next question is about wiring, my understanding is.

Yellow srs - cut off

Grey is seat motion?

Purple is ground?

Heater blue?

Can anyone help as I can't figure out the rest....

I'm no help, but I'm interested....

Will you need to unbolt the seats to access the seatboxes in future or are the bases removable? I used to have an rx8, just don't remember the seat bases coming out. I do remember them as by far the best seats and cosiest heat warmers of any car I've owned tho

Great seats (i had them in mine) but couldn't sort out wiring so took them out. Actually MOT man said it would be automatic fail if he was unable to move the seats Shocked
Base does not separate so that needs considering.

I have all wired up and the RX8 seats are excellent. At least 3 options for under seat access:

1. My seats adjust back far enough so I can still access battery etc (fiddly, but works for most things)

2. There are gold coloured nuts holding the RX8 seat bases in place. Easy to remove these and/or replace with wing nuts so base can be quickly removed, when needed

3. Others have fashioned brackets that allow the seats to simply tip back, when front fastenings are removed. If interested, just search via Google or YouTube
