I hope it was a success. As a light aside, I'm wondering if 55miles in a Defender is the best prep for your ears before a test? Monsieur Le Grenadier

I had thought about taking the series 111...but I'd probably need a hearing test as well. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Went on a long round trip in the 90 to buy some .22 ammo.
I think I saw (or at least noticed!) my first L663. It was all black, extremely shiny and driven by a female. Did it look different to all the other oversized bulbous SUV's on the road? No. Did it shout "Land Rover" at me? No, it didn't. I was left with the feeling that once the "cachet" of driving one of these wears off, they will merge into the background of all the other same-looking vehicles on the road. I do know I passed two proper Defenders though, as I noticed them coming from a long way away. |

My daughter has a 90 (various posts here) and she gets lots of waves, even from truck drivers. She says she always waves back. She sees it as insurance incase she gets a break down!
Her 90 is in getting some pre MOT work done and she is driving her boyfriend's car. She can't wait to get her 90 back as she feels her backside is sitting on the ground and she cannot see over the hedges at junctions in his car! It's a BMW estate, an older model. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |

Picking it up tomorrow. She uses it everyday and as she has a horse and carts a lot of stuff around in it. Next week she starts a six week placement on her speech and language course. She will of course be travelling in her 90! It is one of the last 300 tdi's.

Cleaned the MAP & MAF sensors.
In particular, the MAP was bogging! It's not totally clean now though, as I was erring in the side of caution, but enough to notice a big difference when driving! I've since ordered both new sensors for the sake of 50 quid or so, but definitely worth keeping on top of the cleaning given the effect it has on smoothness & pick up Click image to enlarge ‘08 Defender 90 Hardtop |
