Alas, the holiday was cancelled due to lockdown, should have been there last week Big Cry But we'll get there again one day.

I was actually born in Northumbrland, so hopefully I'll be allowed back to visit! James

Yes I should have said beware that the Cheviot hills are full of bandits and bogarts and Budle bay is rife with impetigo! Visiting Northumberland should come with a government health warning as the views will haunt, and stay with you till the day you die. Whistle

Not to mention the malaria, the rabid dogs and southerner tax you have to pay when you're up there. Not worth it if you live past the Humber imo.
