There is a few interesting alterations under the bonnet to accommodate the Rover P3 saloon carb arrangement, all reversible if you wish in the future.
You do know that the side flaps of the rear curtain should be buckled through the pockets on the tilt sides, and not go outside of them, don't you? One of my pet hates (sorry) is incorrectly buckled or fitted tilts! |

I want to simplify the engine bay, as the air filter housing and ducting gets in the way.
I did think they looked a bit untidy like that I’ll have to change it at the weekend when I roll it out again. We had quite a bit of snow overnight, so it can stay inside for now! Personally, I would change the later, larger grille badge for the correct type if it were mine, as it just stands out as wrong on a full-grille vehicle.
It should match the cast alloy badge on the rear. |

There are usually one or two on EBay but beware repro ones. The proper ones seem to make strong money.

I’ve found repro ones and they’re around £45. No sign of any good genuine ones yet. I’ll pull off the incorrect badge and just run without one until I find the correct style Charlie

My son put a genuine one on EBay, it had been in his garage for years, it went for over £200 which we were shocked about.
I think that was pretty unusual though, but if there are a couple of people determined to have it ....... |

You could try asking on the Series One Club forum, since you may find that there are those who have a spare (or know of a source of one) who are more forthcoming for a bona fide project than just selling to the general public.
I think you said you had joined the S1 club? If not, it is highly worthwhile. |

I would buy a repro badge for now and look for a genuine one at your leisure, charlieccu has good copies on eBay for £26.50

Yes joined LRSOC and the LR Register.
I’ll ask on the LRSOC forum to see if anyone has one. If not, I might pop along to a couple of shows in the summer and see if there are any tasty items to pick up! Yeah it’ll probably just be a repro for now, whilst I look for a good one.
