It looks quite nice but I would need to see a lot more pictures to offer a decent opinion. It does sound like it was ex MOD which in itself is fine. The comment about the bulkhead is a bit odd “ the foot wells are aluminium but the top is steel”. The aluminium bulkheads had a steel frame clad in aluminium, the only exposed steel parts were the A posts and the steel legs fixing the bulkhead foot wells to the chassis, the bonnet hinges were attached with bolts into captive nuts rather than the being welded on. Many years ago Craddocks had reproduction bulkheads made which looked like the aluminium version but were made in steel. It could be that it is one of these bulkheads which eventually the steel foot wells had rotted out and had been replaced by riveting in aluminium plates, a common repair years ago.
It does look a nice honest vehicle but if it’s not a genuine aluminium bulkhead and one of the steel fabricated reproduction ones it would affect the value IMO. |
