Passed away this morning Rest in Peace Prince Philip.
As A young man, I was involved in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award which gave me skills for life, so thank you. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

An incredible legacy. I too was fortunate enough to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and was able to meet him at the awards ceremony in 2017. I always admired his unapologetic nature. 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

Looking forward to B.B.C. documentary "Phil the Greek's verbal gaffes".
Doubt it will ever air though. Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right. |

There are some royals that I like and some I’m not keen on at all but Philip was one of the ones I loved. Sad to see him passing, but if I make it to nearly 100 with decent health then I’d be happy. 🇬🇧

Rest in peace sir.
I will never forget i saw him once on an exercise once. Some engineers were constructing a bridge out of scrap and the RLC were there with a mexiflote. Philip steps in and says "if you were in the navy you would have real boats " or something to that effect their faces were pure gold, and we could barely contain our laughter. He was robust old school who did his bit for queen and country; and some. Great to hear that he wants to be carried by a Land Rover to his final resting place. No nonsense or show to the end. RIP
