Yeah. Really please with the positive shift. It’s not so much easier, just a real solid nice precise shift. Gears slightly closer together but not a really fast shift. No vibration in gear or movement like before. Worthwhile mod!
I also finally got around to the Air Box mod today. Had to buy a dremel which is essential to do it. Only just finished so look forward to a test run tomorrow and see if I can feel a difference. Must do with that propeller thing removed. Bit of a faff cutting all that plastic out but it’s relatively smooth now like the pictures the others posted a while back. |

Passed a new Defender today and he gave me a wave. I didn’t wave back (I have an ‘older’ model) and now feel bad.
Enough bad stuff in the world at the moment. Sorry, just had to share. |

Thank you for your confession, you are forgiven on this occasion but please try harder! James

Gotta be honest, if I see one approaching I get that awkward feeling, like bumping into an ex. |

I don't actually recognise them coming, so don't feel bad about not waving.
I don't wave at Discovery 3/4s either, even though they are box shaped and I like them more. I'm not sure it is like bumping into an ex, because that implies you had a relationship with them in the past. It's more like bumping into a girl who fancies you, but who you have been trying your hardest to avoid..... (No offence to the owners of the new one - or the females I've spent my life avoiding. ) So what will I be doing in my Defender today? Driving it to the local hospital for an X-ray on my thumb. Broke it in multiple places when I dropped a Lightweight on it 25 years ago. The thumb was reassembled with steel screws and pins. I think one of the pins is now trying to make an exit through my skin. |

Gave her a long overdue wash and it finally happened, a flake of paint came off the bulkhead beneath the windscreen. Had my head in the sand about the corrosion and paint bubbling for a long time, so it’s my fault really.
Anyone know a good bodywork shop near Burton? Click image to enlarge |

Put the floors back in after what seems like forever. inside is now painted and hopefully the huge pile of parts in my garage can start to look land rover shaped against soon.
