I'm starting to think either I'm not being told the truth or my salesman cannot be bothered to go digging to find out the truth.
I've laid it out to him I must have I tomorrow at the latest

Glorious sunshine here too, barbecue is ready and about to be lit and I'm about to say "f*ck it" and go and get Censored ! Sad

Imagine all the new cars are sitting in a line similar to that waiting to board a ferry. LR work through those vehicles in order and get them out to the allocated dealer. They don’t pull one from the back just because the one at the front happens to be going to the same place. Just our unfortunate luck they are at the back of the queue.

Seems inefficient if you look at it one way, efficient if you look at it the other way.

And just feel lucky that you’ve got BBQ weather, it’s pi**ing it down up here!

Look on the positive side, it’s been peeweeing down here on and off and the forecast is looking absolutely rubbish. I know, it’s all my fault as I took the winter tyres off SWMBO’s car and Skippy last week as the temps threatened to go into double digits. Not sure they actually did. Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

I'm not mad that its not here - what I'm mad about is that I have been strung along - I've been made promises/commitments which should never have been made - and I've actually taken action on them which may yet create issues for me - the joke of it is that I've now received a text from LRFS congratulating me on my purpose and would I like to comment upon my experience... ha ha would I? Are we there yet, or is the salesman going to say April Fool and say it’s still at Nitra? Whistle Whistle

So, latest. Car was finally found at Killingholme this morning (giant car park at port on Humber), LR f@@ked up and dealership were unable to extract it for March delivery. Because of Easter, it cannot be got to dealership until Tuesday and will be ready by Wednesday. Salesman answered all my 'disappointed' questions to my satisfaction with much apologising. He mentioned an 'LR sweetener' that would be coming my way. (Best not be mats) So Wednesday 7th is the new date. Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

All I got was a box with the 2 keys and 2 keyrings... not even a pen... nice presentation box.

Did have half a tank of fuel though... which I appreciated more than flowers.

Wife was disapointed.

Reading this is exactly why I'm not chasing my dealer. No amount of phone calls and emails will make my car arrive any quicker, but trying to get dates and promises out of the dealer will just set me up for disappointment.

I had a call from my dealer yesterday and he said it'll possibly be next week, but I'm not holding my breath. It'll be a nice surprise when I get the call saying it's ready to collect.

I was never chasing mine - it was they that started this whole shenanigans by ringing me up and telling me I could have it last Tuesday afternoon...

Anyway, its out of my mind till Tuesday now until I get a message saying its there (or not) Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

I got half a tank of fuel as well, but I was charged for it. Check your order form. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
