^^^^ Physically how did you do it? I've got to ping them over £15k and was simply going to set GS up as Payee on my Natwest Banking App and make the payment using the App to that new payee. I've sent similar sized moneys across to family member accounts using the App before but I am nervous of it going wrong on the day and they 'turn me away' until its sorted!

Yes I set up the payee the night before, but we did have a hi-cup when sitting in the showroom as the limit for transfer was too low for type of transfer. After peering at phone for a we while we found an option to change the transfer limit there and then. So we did that, just as well we had the RBS card reader with us to enable that. This has just reminded me that I should change it back down for safety sake!

Car is awesome, just take the directions on the sat nav with a pinch of salt! Second day of having it and we were getting taken down farm tracks, not that I was complaining, although the nice and shine car is no longer nice and shiney, must be a special Defender setting Smile 90S D250 fuji and loving it.

^^^ potentially the wrong colour - when I added tints, the stupid build configurator defaulted seat colour back to black without me noticing and the build code I sent in was with ebony seats which I emailed to the dealer - with 30 minutes I'd realised my mistake and emailed him about it - he phoned me back at the time and said it didn't matter as he'd manually corrected the selection back to acorn and I thought that was that....

Moving on to Friday, when he called to say I was getting the car early, he said the order form I was to sign still said black but not to worry as he'd personally made sure that the factory built it with acorn - over the weekend I realised that I had NO written confirmation of the seat colour being acorn and realised that there could be a problem with me having not a leg to stand on if it turned up ebony. So today I asked for a photo relating to this saying my transfer of £15K today would be dependent on the seats being the right colour.

So we will see...

Footnote - if its ebony it won't actually be the end of the world, but I will extract some accessory value from GS if it is. Whistle

Hopefully all is well, my one should be getting it’s steel wheels on today. I was prepared to keep the alloys on but at the cost of a free service plan, miraculously they found steel wheels. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

I'm uber busy wth work this morning till 12.30 - if I haven't had the email I was looking for then I shall be contacting the dealership - I'm a bit annoyed to be honest because they've gone shtum right at the critical point. But twe shall see... Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Hope it all works out.

One reason I dumped Guy Salmon was their utterly useless communication standards. Williams were very good. Always got a phone call back if I couldn’t speak to whoever I needed to straight away.

I’ve Not experienced service yet, but had some Jaguar parts from them and that was ok. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Yes - but thinking about it as long as they don't fit each bit serially it won't take more than a few hours.

So according to Vista it's 'in transit' (i.e. somewhere in the UK heading for the dealership) so it may get to the dealership this afternoon but I know that stuff has to be put on which is why (in my mind) there's no chance today.

My wife and my daughter were out at lunchtime and took a loop around the dealership to see if they could see mine but as they told me "there's a few obviously just arrived in the carpark but there were only white roof ones, not black"... Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Mine having been delayed from 2/4 to 9/4 (no explanation as to why) is currently sitting in 'market distribution'.

Dealer is waiting on five Defenders, two of which are now "on truck to retailer" (not mine, of course Rolling Eyes ). The dealer has no control over what vehicle goes on what truck so it is complete luck. It could be delivered tomorrow, it could be a week on Friday.

Hopefully yours is on the way SN. Nothing worse than getting all excited for a certain date and then being told it will be a couple of days longer.

I'm starting to think either I'm not being told the truth or my salesman cannot be bothered to go digging to find out the truth.

Frustrating for you Steve. It will turn up sometime, so there's no point in getting angry about it. When it does, bring it round here for a shufty Thumbs Up 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV
