After returning home for the after effects of hurricane Katia reaching the UK, we have ventured out once again to relish in the beauty that is Scotland. Came down to Drummore on the coast to indulge in a couple of weeks of Bass plugging with the odd visit to the golf course Whistle It may be raining and windy but who cares when you have this on your doorstep:

My favourite beach for Bass plugging on a rising tide,

Parked the Defender at the high tide mark for the duration,

The one beneifit of owning a Defender is that you are not restricted as to where you can go. Car Park? that's for every one else. I own a Defender Whistle

Once the tide flooded moved around the coast a bit for an even better mark at high tide,

And after all that, one times 4lb sea bass cooking away on the barbie, enjoyed later with baby potatoes, asparagus and white wine sauce with a nice crisp Stella Artois Whistle

Who says you have to go abroad to enjoy a British summertime holiday Whistle

"Zagged" a 2011, 110 today with 2000 miles on the clock - same as mine Shocked Made 2 months after mine also!

Now soaked in anti-corrosive under-seal and various other sealants and potions. Took 6 hours but the owner drove it away to clean himself which saved me an hours job Thumbs Up

However hard you cover yourself up you get covered in under-seal Sad and the only way to get it off is to wash your hair/face/arms etc in white spirits (not recommended) Shocked

Anyway another good job done and one more Defender preserved Wink & I don't look like this anymore Crying or Very sad my eyelashes were sticking together at one point, the owner of the 110 had done the job before and didn't want to do it again - I wonder why Neutral It's a hell of a job...

I'm using lures Mike, shallow divers and poppers for the breakers. A 11ft Greys sea spin rod 10g-90g with a Shimano Tech 5000 reel and 20lb braid.

Zag, would you like a top trick to try - spray yourself or a rag with WD40 and wipe the covered area of your body - its harmless and works Mike
