As it happens my private plate (which is not going straight on because I want the '21' plate nob-waving stuff for 5 months) is a 1983-2001 style plate and would have been a Birmingham plate, not a Manchester one if it had been issues normally. Just an update on lead times.
Ordered: 20th Jan (using a dealer's existing build slot) Final Amendments: 27th Jan Build: 26 Feb Arrived at Port (Baltimore, MD, USA): 23rd Mar Arrived at Dealer: Yesterday! A little over 2 months... not too bad. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE, Eiger Gray, Black Folding Fabric Roof |

Christ. That's bloody good, actually -- congratulations! Mine was built just over a month after yours - not supposed to be at at the dealer until early June.
I'm trying not to hassle my sales advisor for constant updates. No more than once every couple of hours... I mean. No more than once every milestone!! I "pestered" him once every week or two! The actual scheduled deliver was 16-April so it showed up 2.5 weeks early. In all fairness he told me their cars usually arrive about 2 weeks early so this was spot on.

I received notification yesterday that my Defender 110 is now at the dealer. Accessories due to be fitted today/tomorrow ready for a Friday handover.
I then receive an email from my dealer rep this morning saying that the classic Mud flaps and side steps are on backorder and could be weeks until they arrive, the parts department dont have a date! Im really annoyed, all they have is the scuff plate and wheel arches. I just wanted it to look perfect as I ordered it, driving it from the forecourt. Im not sure the car is going to look right with just the arches and no mud flaps...should I ask them to hold off fitting them? I dont want them to go on another car just for the arches to go on backorder a couple of weeks down the line! |

Side steps have been on back order for weeks, your salesman should’ve known that, pretty poor show from them.
I made sure my dealer had the mud flaps in stock but the last photo I saw of it, it was only fronts that were on it

My salesman told me that he pre-ordered all the add-on bits for mine weeks and weeks ago and they were all safely tucked up at the dealership. Steve N | 21MY Defender

Dealer called me, mudflaps have actually arrived! So thats not too bad, I was really worried about the look of the car with out them. Just have to wait for the sidesteps, dealer said that when they arrive they will drive to my house with a replacement car and take mine off for fitting

hello.
I live in Luxembourg. I just placed an order for a Defender P300 a week ago, the guy told me it might even take 6 months for delivery, or more He also told me that he can take orders for the V8 and he expects them towards the end of the year. Is this the same for all Europe or is this guy full of s....t and he is very bad at his job ? |
