I saw recently on Faceburk a split rear door and was wondering if any one knows who make the Cat Flap top.
Any ideas? Cheers Don. |

Yes, Land-Rover, and nobody else.
As noted above, it was an option on series models and is now both rare and sought after, commanding high prices. They turn up of internet auction sites from time to time. There is a rumour that someone (SP Panels, I believe) has the tooling for the cat flap but doesn't actually make them, unfortunately. It's been said that one day they may make a batch. |

Update to the post above, "COMING SOON" -
https://www.sp-4x4.com/product_p/320652g.htm Better than the original since it has a galv frame, which the originals don't. |

Can't believe years ago I removed one of these from my S2 and fitted the safari door.
And can't remember what I did with it.... probably sold it for about £2 at the first Sodbury sortout |

Yes, there was a time when you couldn't give them away, no doubt the reason they're so scarce now.

That was also my plan to fit one to my red 110 before it went to its new owner. The other cost is the tailgate which also look expensive these days. Mind you I fitted one to our series one and have nearly scalped myself several times walking into a sharp pointed edge!! 2010 XS USW

Nice catflap door by SP.
But it's £250 and then you have to find the glass, the seals and all the "furniture" for it, so a complete one on eBay might well look cheap by comparison. I sold a Series One version a couple of years ago on eBay. I think there were only two bidders.... The catflap was also available for One Ten hard tops. |

Unusually I think the SI version is easier to find than the later version.
I picked up a SII flap not long ago which I am re-skinning to get rid of the window! I don't like rear windows, especially at night. |
