Itā€™s not a download thing, itā€™s a code thing for linking the album. Bit of a PITA but just needs the ā€œnormal_ā€ bit deleted then itā€™s full res. Whistle

Yes it was the heat shield and there was someone in the Facebook group with identical spec to mine had the same problem but LRA sorted it out in a home call out on site. Took 2 visits though he bent it too far the other way first time he repaired it Rolling with laughter itā€™s looking like a first edition 90 with rear differential problem.

And now onto my next warranty problem...

SPF is peeling away in various sections of the bodywork this being the worst of them but Iā€™ve inspected the whole vehicle and the application isnā€™t good the template JLR are using is a bit of a bodge job they donā€™t fold the wrap round the corners and in many body sections stop short on the edges leaving the cut exposed and vulnerable to peeling. Iā€™ve had an independent installer look at the vehicle he said the wrap is the best on the market but the application is a cowboy job. My dealership have told me to take it to their body shop specialist for inspection.

Thanks mine isnā€™t as bad as that one but it is getting worse. I canā€™t remember what brand they use but it is one of the leading wraps on the market. The template is the problem and most probably the application. I will see what the body shop say but this is an expensive option that should not be peeling straight out of the factory šŸ˜‚

I believe that the brand used by LR is Expel ( both my local JLR dealer and the local Expel agent/ franchisee tell me this) . Strangely if you have it done aftermarket you get a warranty for 10 years from Expel but as far as I have been able to find out from my local dealer if you have the Satin Finish film from the factory it only has a 3 year warranty like the rest of the car. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place wonā€™t be missed!

Yes thatā€™s the one Thumbs Up itā€™s Expel. Not sure either on the warranty length for it but if it is fitted properly you shouldnā€™t get any issues. My friend is expel approved installer but I thought going through LR would be best for any warranty issues with the paint, I later found out that my dealership use him for doing customers vehicles. He has a good reputation does Paint protection for luxury yachts.

Iā€™m going to carry this problem over to the specific thread supacat posted so it doesnā€™t clutter this thread Thumbs Up

You have the E Diff?

How is it working?

Mine turns on and off - but its locked much more than I expected on a normal road and not giving it any beans..

Thanks

Thereā€™s a fault on the driver display screen. You need to get a software patch installed at the dealership but it wonā€™t be ready until next month. See my job sheets in this thread for details šŸ‘šŸ»

I thought so - but was not sure if the issue was centre or rear...

I guess it applies to everyone with rear E Diff.

I assume - all functions OK (just the display is the issue?)

The update can not be done over the air?

THANKS

I think itā€™s both differentials but rear glitches much more than centre.

Not sure if itā€™s only vehicles with the rear differential or not tbh I know a few other people have the problem but said itā€™s the torque vectoring working which is incorrect the diffs on the 4x4i main screen donā€™t do that and the driver display screen 4x4i is supposed to mirror the main screen.

My dealership said itā€™s a software issue only and that the car is safe to drive as normal.

Not sure why it has to be installed in the service department.

I just been out to look at lights - and yes both diffs have the issue

I checked just the Cockpit - not main screen..

So are you saying the main screen is OK and its just the dash display thats behaving badly?

THANKS

Yes thatā€™s correct...main screen is fine, the driver display has a fault. The service department said it will be a quick fix once they have the patch literally 20 minutes while I wait.
