265/65/18 ET10 Rim
Hi,

Been trying to research this without a definitive answer to check to see if I can get away without a suspension lift to run 265/65/18 (BFGs) on rims with an ET10 offset without a lift or getting a tyre rub issue - is anyone running this combo?

I had fancied a set of Coopers on 275/70/18 but was advised by the fitters this def needed a lift kit.

Cheers

Julian.

265/65R18 is dimensionally the same as the factory fitted 265/75R16 tyres in terms of section width and overall diameter, so it'll be fine. The standard 16x7 alloys are something like ET32 so ET10 is a fairly minimal change.

I've never run 18" anything on a Defender and never would but having fiddled around with a few combinations over the years I'd be astonished if you need a lift and I wouldn't have thought the tyres would rub anywhere either.

I would have thought the larger size would be fine as well, but less sure about that. ---

Many thanks for that, I hadn't planned 18 either but it seem that like everything there are ar stock issues and the wheels I found looked great so we wen't for it. Tyres ordered so we'll see how they look come Monday evening - photos to follow.

Thanks. Yes they are basically just about flush with the edge of the arch. No spacers on these
