Speedo Wiring
Just a question on the wiring set up for the speedo.

As far as I know Pin 13 on the black plug in the ECU is the speed input to the ECU.

Does this come from the speedo clock itself or straight from the sender in the box ?

I'm looking for the wire that goes from the speedometer to the ECU.

Thanks.

You can download Rave for td5's upto 2002 from severall places on the internet. I have a 2003 td5 and only small things are different. Roel

Pin 13 on the Engine ECU (Black C0658) is linked to the instrument pack by via connector. Yellow/Pink wire.

You've got 4 wires linked between the black ECU plug and the instrument pack - Pins 6, 30, 7 and 13.

So it looks like the wire heading to pin 13 on the black plug is coming from the speedo ?

The other 3 mentioned above appear to be output cables ?

I'm just having a niggling problem fitting an adaptor to this line in order to operate the cruise control on the defender TD5 with 1.2 ratio transfer gears.
