Electric window RH front stuck open
Hi, Drivers window has been acting up for the last few weeks. Switch would not work when door was closed but would when open. Then moved to only working when door was half open etc. Sounds like a wire has frayed or something. Immediate problem is the window is open full and no movement. Is there a way to manually close the window until I get someone to have a proper look. Have the inside panel off and have had a quick look at the wiring to no avail. Is there something I can ‘screw’ to close or manually push it up shut? Thanks anyone

There may be a couple of 10mm bolts that you can undo if you can get to them, take the window off the runner and push it up...wedge it in.

If you've gone to the length of taking the door card off, you might as well look at the wiring and cut n twist the wire until doing it properly?

The problem is probably in a wire between door and the body, in the hinge gap. Pull the rubber sheath of (Ooh Matron) and fiddle with the wires whilst pressing the up button.

If you've got the door panel off, 12V + applied to RED, Ground (0V) on BLUE should power the motor up.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
