Shiply
I'm getting forgetful these days but this one has me a little stumped, so maybe I'm being thick or I really have gone the wrong way about this.

I went to Shiply to look at a quote for having something couriered to me from a forum member.

Opening the site it asks for the details, give as much as you can and then click on the quote button.

It asks you to wait 15minutes and you should receive something through on email or on Shiply.

I did this yesterday and nothing has come through on email and when I went back to Shiply it asks me to enter my email and password, but I never created a password?

Everywhere I've looked I can't see how to register so I can see any response. Shiply tell you that by asking for a quote you have created an account...but again every time I look around the site it's asking for a password

Am I losing my marbles or am I being thick?

no you're not going crazy - I've found the same, its a bit odd.

You can request a forgotten password to the relevant email and it seems to allow you to change it and then login etc.

Or if you get a response (message or quote) to your advert via email and hit reply, it seems to allow you into the account.

I did this and nothing has come through.

I checked all my junk and deleted folders but nothing is there and I tried again tonight with no luck.

It could be that no one has quoted ( I kept the page open for 20 minutes to make sure it went over the allotted time ) or that iCloud isn't liking Shiply emails.

I'll give another email address a try

Interestingly it works on another email ( non iCloud ) and provides a password via the email

So we're getting somewhere now.

Probably much easier to contact forum member BigDave and get a quote from him.

I did consider it, but reading the recent thread regarding transport, he's out of action with Covid
