Panhard chassis bracket bolt swap

Help... I came to fit a new steering guard to a 110 td5 defender and the bolt that i am supposed fix the guard too (drivers side, panhard chassis bracket bolt) is to short.

So if and when I source the correct length of bolt, can I just swap it out in situ, I.e. remove the old bolt and slide in the new one, or is it going to be more difficult for a home DIY'er.... as i'm worried that if I remove the bolt the panhard chassis bracket will move and be difficult to get realigned. So ant advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks LandRoverAnorak, I was worried that if i took the bolt out, the bracket would move around the top bolt and be a real pain to get the new bolt in etc.. so before I got in to a heap of trouble, I thought I'd reach out and ask.
