The passenger front side brake is making the scraping sound again and really starting to annoy me the dealership has said it is the suspension engaging hard on an emergency stop but I made it clear I have not don’t an emergency stop yet and only firm breaking nothing out of the ordinary to what I would consider normal driving. The front of the car isn’t even nose diving as it would of you did an emergency stop. I’m puzzled to what it could be. It’s back into the garage on Monday for a Matter sensor so I will get them to check it again.

Has anyone that is running Goodyear Duratracs on 20” wheels experienced this sound? It does sound like something is rubbing but when I check around the arch there is loads of space I can’t see it being the tyres.

Have you asked just what a matter sensor is or does?

Curious to know how that would limit vehicle to 2wd rather than just throw a MlL warning or even put the vehicle into an engine limp mode.?

Coincidence maybe, but Powerful UK's car had a curious DPF fault registered when plugged into a Pathfinder console:

Does the L663 also use antimatter? Is there a warp drive we haven't yet learned about?

Every time I a see this thread come up in the "new posts" list the paradox in the thread title makes me smile, "Intelligent AWD only drives in 2WD", how is that intelligent?

Rolling with laughter

Very curious especially as Powerfuluk’s car is the P300 so doesn’t have a DPF, it should have a GPF though. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Well it’s back in on Monday but the dealership (Stratstone group) are not doing rolling in car testing so I’m not sure how they will ever know that they have fixed the problem.

Is there a way to upload a video on here? I have taken a video of the noise the brakes are making and also the permanently locking differentials

Locking differentials as in plural ~ you have two and by "permanently locking" do you mean they are just constantly cycling between modes; or have they just locked and now won't unlock?

Might be best to post your video to YouTube and then just a link here ~ depending on file size?

Both are locked but rear differential is locked most of the time whereas the central one opens up more.

On road - both should be unlocked

That noise does not sound like brakes

Maybe geabox or diff or prop... (Sorry)

Yes I think it is mechanical ⚙️ grinding somewhere. When I first noticed the sound a few weeks ago it wasn’t as bad but since it has been to the dealership for testing it has come back worse and also that is when the differentials started locking up. I’ve got Land Rover assist coming out later today. Will update after they have been.

Have you fitted different wheels or tyres that could be rubbing?
