Sounds ideal air in returns, head or injector seals, assuming pump is supplying correct fuel pressure. Cheers

it has been around since 2017. and covered about 13,000 miles (if tacho is miles) mostly light stop go traffic. that's quite a lot of bits to test the pressure Smile Pump was working silently without any alarming whines/hums.

i do not have the right mindset to start that job. Not sure if i have a spare kit to do them at the moment.

thanks.

which job the injector seals? its a very easy job to do, far simpler than most online tutorials suggest. For the cost of parts it worth the time and if you dont have means to measure fuel pressure and they haven't been done for a while then nothing to loose anyway as they will need doing. Cheers

i remember i ordered an injector loom couple of years back i guess it is about time it is done too. I am wondering how stiff injectors will be in the engine. will i need an injector puller?? it had a re-bore done locally within the year prior to my purchase. I never got full details of rebuilt. but i guess it was a light one.

I am watching some videos to iron out any mistakes which i could easily make.

in my ownership i just did the FPR and also disconnected the fuel pump for a few months while it underwent refurb around rear. fuel filter housing was also replaced in this refurb. and filters done every year so far.

regards

I didnt use a puller.

Once the injector yoke is off you will find the short end of a 4mm Allen key will fit under the injector bridge ( between bodybsnd electrical bit) lever this against the head in the area the yoke fitting point, once its lifted a fraction change for 10mm Allen key and repeat, it will lift the injector slowly and square out of its home. Cheers

I had a look a my spares pile and i have two injector looms (britpart and bearmach) and a full set of seals (bearmach) Are they good to go or should i go for genuine washer kits???

Sorry if this sounds like a waste of time.

If the injector loom has ITT stamped onto the round connector then it is essentially an OEM spec one. If not then I wouldn't use it. I have had two injector looms delivered recently, both 'OEM' in identical Britpart boxes. One was OEM Leoni brand the other was unbranded garbage!

Everyone says only use genuine injector seal kits but i have used a britpart kit recently when in desperate need and they lasted 2yrs without issue. In fact they outlasted the genuine one on mine which failed after only 18months (on a faulty injector).

Price of genuine injector seals are getting stupid now too!
