Windscreen brackets
Billet alloy or stainless?

My truck get used and abused, roller painted etc etc, im looking at new brackets, and more drawn towards yrms stainless brackets as optimill say don't wash there products with traffic film remover.

Whats best?

Do you intend to paint them? If so, it probably doesn't matter. The problem with the Optimill ones will be their surface finish rather than the material itself. Darren

I have had a pair of Britpart silver anodised ones on mine since 2013 and they are still in perfect condition.

My original hinge type were fine with no corrosion showing through after many years. I then fitted the later (solid) type and they corroded after only a few years, they were repainted and again only lasted a couple of years before corrosion started to bubble through.

Fitted the BP anodised ones in 2013 (to go with my galvanised bulkhead) and they are still perfect. ONE LIFE, GET IT!

Huttopia's blocks are really nice - I have a set myself - but they are just billet aluminium, the same as the Britpart ones and probably others, too. As long as they're properly coated and the bolts screwed into them also treated with some sort of isolator such as Duralac or other anti-seize paste, then they should be fine. Darren
