I'm on 7.5 R 16 BFG KM3's - traditional steel rims + high performance tyres = perfect combination ![]() I love it |

I ran 255.85r16 BFG muds on boosts for 2 years or so on my 90, no issues at all. Only changed as I fancied some Mach5’s but have kept the tyres, they have been great on and off road and would definitely recommend them. The only thing I would say, is that if you’re after ‘the looks’ then 285’s do look better with the additional width makes a difference.

Thanks very much, the Mrs. has agreed on the tyres, so we're good to go. I will keep the Boost alloys for now until funds allow. The thought occurs I could probably sell the part worn road tyres that are on it, the spare is an unused Goodyear MTR Wrangler, which I think is a good make and might earn £100 to offset the cost of the BFGs.
Thanks all 👍👍 Puma 90 XS Station Wagon in Keswick Green 2012 2.2 Tdci |

BF Goodrich KM2 Mud Terrains and good old fashioned black steel modulars. In 255 85 16 they fill the arches nicely and work quite well off road.

Wolf steels always look good and are timeless.

Agree and have them on my tdi's, though the original white paint soon rusts and too soon to tell how they last refinished in black paint. I tried them on my Puma, but personally they didn't do it for me, see below Wolf rear with MTR's and Sawtooth front with Conti's - now replaced with MTR's ![]() Click image to enlarge Rob 1993 200tdi 90 hard-top 1998 300tdi 90 soft-top 2016 2.2 XS 90 hard-top (sold) |
