Couldn't agree more, i mechanically mollycoddle mine. it has a full engine service approx every 4000 mile, with all transmission and axles done every other service. Frequent use of decent diesel additives and we have 30k of problem free miles |

I do about 10k per year and it is my daily vehicle (still makes me smile!)
So i only service once a year and this has served me well....however this year i have had vehicle go into limp mode with engine light on. Had new throttle peddle which seemed to work, one month later it had similar issue and have now replaced MAF sensor. Two weeks ago noticed leak from fuel filter so managed to get genuine fuel filter housing and replaced fuel filter. Slight leak still so today took new filter off and unclipped fuel lines. Tightened up the bolts and reconnected lines. Seems like one line was not seated correctly so sorted that and so far so good no leaks Although housing was genuine i had heard about the 4 pipes may not be in correct order so when i removed old housing checked against that and glad i did as there was two pipes in wrong order (one has small white filter on one end). So, double check |
