Puma Front Prop Phasing
am I right in thinking the yokes on the propshaft should be 90 Deg out of phase? I.e if the yoke on the front of the prop is vertical, the one at the back should be horizontal. Is that right?

On my 07 Puma the front yokes appear to be 45 degrees out of phase. When the front one is vertical the rear one is on a 45deg angle.

Is something wrong? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

The photo below shows a totally unmolested and ex-factory 2007 Puma 110 front propshaft, along with a good one. You will notice that approx 45 degrees is correct, and this will be due to the fact that the flanges are not coplanar because of the upward tilt of the Puma engine.

I know the earlier vehicles had about 45degrees out of phase as well because the front final drive unit (commonly known as the diff) is not horizontal. But not sure if JLR increased the shift on front prop shaft due to the Puma being nose high. I made similar question, but on rear Puma shaft when I was new to my Puma. Only Puma have an out of phase yokes on the rear prop shaft, by about 45deg as well. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
