Nice find Daz, Iโve had it in a year now. Turns over great from stone cold.
Fits straight in, factory retainer clamps fit. Battery post clamps fit and breather tube connects up perfectly. You can indeed tell itโs got that bit more power than my old one did. The old one lasted at least ten years. It has a battery state indicator too to show you when it needs replacing.

Thanks chaps I was originally looking at the YBX5019 but just wondered if anyone had got the slightly bigger one in handy that they come with the 5 year guarantee as well whats it like dealing with tayna and warranty if it go's tits up ?lol my original has lasted 11 years so far just the short journeys to work in the dark then home in the dark are not helping the old girl

I got my new Yuasa (on my 2014 van) to replace the original earlier this year as I found I needed to keep re-charging it. It's a bit higher CCA (900 vs 800) than the original.
But having charged up the original one again after I fitted the Yuasa, it seemed okay, so it's now installed on our narrow boat as the engine battery, and working fine! Maybe it was lack of use (only short journeys), coupled with the alarm draining it constantly, that made it seem as though it was failing. |

Not to put a downer on the Yuasa YBX5019, I use it personally myself. The first one died just after 3 years, and Halfords replaced it under warranty with no fuss. Probably down to my usage pattern of mostly short trips.

Think you might be right Joe lock down+short trips +starting+lights+blowers+subwoofer+alarm has taken its toll lol charged up fine and has been ok so far but put an order in for a new YBX5019 as she's about due a new one after 11 years hope the new one will do as well lol

If you use LED lights then you wonโt have as much current draw. Saves the battery and fuel.
Thatโs the perfect reasoning to upgrade to your financial advisors aka Wives. I think most of us still put the heated seats on though.
