It all depends how bad the leak is.
Sealing from the outside works but it is not that easy. The shaft moves a little so the sealant will break loose, i made a small plate ans sealed that to the housing. That works good after multiple attempts. The plate: Click image to enlarge Use plenty off sealant so the plate seals to the transferbox housing and the gearbox housing. This is exactly what my transmission guy is going to do (permatex right stuff) i should be good then ! For the rest, i’m waiting for the parts to come over from roversnorth |
