What is your truck height with lift and rack and what is your maximum garage door height? If your garage floor is flat, and you don’t have far to move it, you could buy some second hand steel rims and dispense with the rubber - and give it a push in |

I'll have to have a measure up and see what works. I know that when a Max Height sign is at 2.2m it hits the sign, but 2.4m i can fit under.
Now to find some scrap wheels with a LR stud pattern.. |

At my last house, it had a double garage with up and over doors, I found if I screwed the one door shut by its original transport points and then removed the screws holding the frame to the brickwork, I could slide it across behind the other door and there was just enough height to get the 100" in and slide the door closed behind.
Once in, there was just enough height to jack it up, remove the wheels and lower onto some improvised skates. HTH Keith |

Some road cars use "undersized" spare wheel, with some really low profile tire on it... "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo

There are Ifor Williams wheels with the same stud pattern which give you about the result as the OP posted. I remember having seen a picture of a belgian club member who put his offroader on these small wheels to trailer it through the chunnel IIRC. You'll need to use a spacer to clear the brakes though.

As above, a lot of 13" Ifor Williams wheels are 5x165 PCD with M16 studs.
Probably goes like stink but tops out at about 40mph

Thanks for all the replies on this gents. The ifor williams stud pattern tip is the one I'll now try, as I have access to a trailer with them on.
I'll post a before and after with measurements when I give it a go! |
