Power steering pump leak
My TD5 has developed a leak as per the photos.

Not sure where it is coming from the power steering pump. Whats the best thing to do here? I can't specifically identify where it is leaking from, it is kind of all over. The leak is very slow.

Cheers Greeny.

Already tightened up what I could see, was all fairly tight to be honest. Instagram - @Land_Rover_Defender

Yes already thinking about replacing it. Tightening the bolts didn't work and neither did some stop leak.

So a new pump will be ordered! Instagram - @Land_Rover_Defender

There is an o-ring at the end of the metal feed pipe.
If this fails it lets fluid out via the threads.
It’s hard to see on the photos but this could be the issue. Defender Td5 Commercial 2002

Cheers,

It is really hard to tell where it is coming from, I have cleaned it multiple times and it returns wet all over the feed pipe, bolts etc. It is hard to trace it back to one spot.

Making me think that replacing the pump is maybe best... Instagram - @Land_Rover_Defender

at the end of the pipe and also o ring on the hex part that`s trended in to pump badly

But no part number for this o ring

IF this hex part is re moved a spring loaded plunger will fly out you have been worn
