I’ve never had an issue with Fl2, Evoque, Disco Sport or Velar in the rain. I’d take anyone of them over Audis Quattro any day.

Have I got this correct, on the 110 (haven’t looked at the 90) you can only have rear recovery points on the X models, starting at just under £80k? Shocked Shocked

No, you can fit them to any model but you need to spec them as an accessory at your dealers, they require complete removal of the rear bumper. Quite a few of us have them as after thoughts! They have big backing plates and are rated at 7000kgs whereas the screw in ones are rated at a static load of 6500. PowerfulUK has a video on fitting them and they sell some nice finishers to fill in the gaps left around them too. You can get them in Red or Black too

Installed from the factory yes, only the X model currently includes them. They can easily be added on any other trim, however.

Here is one supplier, who also provides useful install video and a variety of finishes (red, black or blue): https://www.powerfuluk.com/vehicles/land-r...t-red.html

Hi Tim, totally off topic here but do your Duratracs have the holes to put ice studs in them? I was looking at Goodyear website and certain sizes have the option to fit ice studs.

Here’s a video just appeared on YouTube with a New Defender and studded tyres in Canada

Does anyone have a specific measurement or have a handy tape measure in the car? It’s from the back of the walk through bit to the front of the gear leaver housing bit, or back of the cubby box to the same place. I’m trying to see if my Oztent will through load from back to front of the 90. I need 2m in total.

Unfortunately with that setup it looks like I’d loose any front cup holder though.. Forget that, looks like my coffee holder needs are catered for in the walk-through bit. Thumbs Up

DSL, in case you need the width of the car between the hook back eyes that retain the rear seat backs up that is the feint number on my photo of the seats folded - 1170mm Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Thanks, seen that. Thumbs Up Thinking how I’d fix my Engel in the back left, oztent through loaded, Wolf boxes to right and then everything else thrown in on top. Unfortunately I don’t pack light. Laughing

I have an Ivor Williams P100 box trailer with drop tail and extra ladder bars that I used for hauling windsurfers and sails out to Tiree on my previously 2-3 trips a year out there if you need any more space! Remove the ladder bars and I have fittings in the bed to take 4 mountain bikes.

With all that load in a 90 are you going for the air suspension too? Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

From the rear most part on the vents behind the center cubby box (further back than the cubby lid hinges) to the bit where the gear selector is mounted is 700mm - below that there is the USB mount which I didn’t measure to but if you want that number too let me know and I’ll get it

It’s the walk through I’m going for, tried it at the dealer preview event and thought it was more useful, opened up a lot of space. Might fall out the seat for the first few weeks until I get used to not having something to lean on Laughing

Just a bit of useless information I found out this morning, I asked the online help thing on the configurator when an updated brochure for Defender will be available, I was told no brochures are being produced only spec and price guides as LR update models regularly.
