Cheers Tim, that’s just what I need. I’ve seen in the LR blurb that the HT load length is up to 1.04m (it certainly looks longer than that) so might be a tad short. Sad

Tour of the base spec 110 (US)

It’s the one I’d have if I went for 110

Just seen someone post a query on the new defender fb group about what size wheels he can put on his 110 D240 after he had specified it with the optional 22” wheels and found that the front break callipers had been replaced with the larger type found on the D300 & P400. He had ordered a set of additional 18” steel wheels through his dealership only for them to find out that they don’t fit! I have checked the LR configurator there is nothing stating that should you option the 22” wheels the break callipers will be changed/upgraded to the larger type. Personally I think the factory have put them on my mistake when they shouldn’t have as on the LA motor show YouTube video the D240 first edition 90 with upgraded 22” wheels have the smaller callipers. I’ve reached out to LR for clarification as I’ve ordered FE D250 with the 22” wheels but want to get the 18” steels for off road use.

I’m afraid that it is the case that 22”-equipped vehicles will get the bigger 6-pot brakes, regardless of engine. See side notes in the specification brochure below.

What a nightmare! I’m annoyed the dealership didn’t explain this to me especially when I stated I wanted to put 18” on for off road use...straight on the phone tomorrow to see if I can change the wheel order on my spec but I think it’s locked now.

Crikey Digger did you really think that the salesman actually knew the product he was selling to you? My experience even down here in Aus is that 10% do and the rest have no idea. And why oh why would LR put those callipers on a 4 cylinder model just because it has 22" wheels, there is no logic! I would be kicking up a real fuss if I was you. Hope it all ends well for you.

I don’t think he does tbh but I asked when putting the spec together can I buy a set of 18” steel wheels separately for off road use and his response was of course you can :rolllaugh I think I’ll just have to live with it and go the 19” wheels for off road

Also Land Rover Madrid just posted a video on their Instagram of a D240 first edition with 22” Witt the smaller break callipers so I think this has only just changed recently

Found some new brochure with PHEV, new 6 cyl diesel and x dynamic models.

Ahh you see this brochure has just come out and only states the break callipers changes for upgrade to 22” wheels on here but the old brochure didn’t have any of this information on it. Seems to me they’ve just brought it in especially when I’m seeing vehicles that have already been delivered with twin piston calliper for 22” wheel setup.

The specifications publication I posted a screenshot from was downloaded via the configurator a month or so ago.

I notice the 21MY full brochure above has different information in its specification section, suggesting that the larger brakes are fitted to the D300 but not the D200 or D250.

No idea which is the more up to date publication. I’m just glad I ordered with 18” steels - 22” wheels have no place on a Defender anyway!

It seems the engine in P400 90 and 110 have different specs now, torque and cc?
