Depends on what software you use but it should be under the gearbox tab and valid gear ratios. You need to work it out for your gearing and tyres but the valid ratio scalars end up being about 41 (from 32 ish) for 5th and to 35 (from about 29) for 4th. I worked it out for 3rd 4th and 5th as those were realistically the only gears you'd be likely to set it in Thumbs Up

Ive been poking around with the car today as im furloughed. Is it normal for brake switch 2 to show 'ON' on the nanocom when i turn the cruise master on or have i got some dodgy wiring. Brake switch 1 turns on and off as it should with the pedal action.

Quick answer but it will depend if you've wired the ECU pin 10 via a relay or just directly. I did mention this in my post on page 1 Smile  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Straight into pin 10 as per the basic diagrams. Will this affect the cruise from engaging or is it the norm wiring it like this?

No personal experience of wiring it like that, I've only ever done it using a relay to give an inverted brake signal (12v = brake off, open = brake on) as per Disco2.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Speedohealer should be coming tomorrow so hopefully i'll fit that and report back. Whats the best ignition switched live to grab under the seat? and which pin/coloured signal wire do i tap it into?

I'm new with defs and didn't know that was possible to add cruise control just adding switches.

I think ignition live is white with green trace (don't quote me on that though!). There should be one or two under the drivers seat Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

My test version I made in 2009. If the test would be OK I planned to use the Disco 2 switch. Test test was OK but there are always more important things to do. So it is still there. Very Happy

It works and I like it but there are some behaviors that I like little less.
1 If you drive at the steady speed and you set the CC with a short push at the set button it will slow down a few km/h before picking up again but you will drive 2 or 3 km/h slower then planned. I overcome this by keep pushing the set button till I feel that CC takes over and then release the set button.
2. A bit off the same as above say you drive on CC on a steady speed and then you want to overtake something but you have to cancel CC or by the button or by braking. If you are then finished your overtake and have a little more speed then the set speed and you resume CC it will slow down way below the set speed before picking up to the set speed again.
It will also cancel if you drive on the throttle above the set speed for a short time. Overtaking a truck is most off the time too long.

In short it reacts slowly also on inclines etc.

SUCCESS!

So i wired in the speedohealer this morning, initially wrong. I chose one of two white/green cables to tap into and the one i chose didnt happen to be a switched live. I checked the pin out list on the nanocom website and went with pin 33 black plug. Which is the main egnition live.
White cable to the speedo end and green cable ecu end.

Went for a drive and success! Cuts out immediately with brake/clutch /reset and master switch.

Weirdly my clutch switch in nanocom still says it doesnt work even though it cuts the cruise control immediately.

Because i have an early td5 with an early dash i just used the same switch surround thats on the right hand side of the steering wheel and fitted rocker switches.
Switch on the left is the master on off, then i have an up/down switch for set/resume and the 3rd swithc is for my rear work light.

EDIT:In reply to Roel from my short drive i agree it is a slow system. At first i thought the resume function wasnt working but its just slow to pick up. For the set a long hold like you suggested works best. At some points like hills etc it does seem quite slow to react. Not problematic once you geet used to it but dont expect it to be like a modern system

Still having some issues with my CC.

The maps been adjusted to suit the 33" tyres, 1.3 box and V8 5th.

Nanocom reacts to the switches being activated.

However it shows brake switch 2 as ON when the CC Master Switch is engaged.

Clutch switch and brake switch both work.

Though doesnt seem to engage, any ideas? Instagram @defender_ventures

My drive line is original, so I can't say much about your set-up. However tire size does not matter as this is behind the Transfer box.
The engine rpm should match the speedo reading that comes from the Transfer box output shaft.
I know that my CC works in 4th and 5th. I don't think I tried in lower gears.

I would try to disconnect the brake and clutch connection and try again. To see if that changes anything.
Don't worry if it works, if you press the clutch pedal the revs go up a bit and there is a to big speed difference so the CC will stop.
I don't have my clutch switch connected and it still works. Roel
