Bigger Wheels - Speedo?
Hi All,

I am putting bigger wheels on my 07 Puma Defender - I am guessing that i will need to make some changes somewhere to adjust the speedo?

Any thoughts?

https://www.land-rover-blog.co.uk/how-to-r...and-rover/ you find this rear of the transfer box under the green transponder and it can be a plan to remove

How big you going?
The speedo already over reads on the standard tyres. If you go to 33 inch tyres (285/75/16 or 255/85/16 equiv) it will read almost bang on.
If you go taller than that, it will underread.

Some where in the back of my mind, you can program the tyre size into the instrument pack using the nanocom, did this along time ago when i went from 750 tyres to 235 tyres, it also then gave me the option to up the speed limiter from 82mph to 90 mph but left it at 82.

Thanks for that - I did wonder if it was programmable.

I am getting the wheels sorted then off to Ashcroft Transmissions for an auto box to be fitted - if it is a reprogramming job, then might be something they can do.

Cheers,
