That's odd, I really would be surprised if LR made different types of switches for that later td5 dash irrelevant of finish colour. Maybe that black one has been cut about or something?

Switches are the same. Looks like the black one is missing the mounting frame for the switches:

Mounting frame is missing from the black one, 4 (or 5 I can't remember) screws to swap it over.
