You wait until you have a big battery to charge (the one instead of your engine)

Ctek user here too! Kept the 110 on trickle charge for ages through covid19 and can't fault it.

Have a Dometic IU1012 installed in the seat base and a ip67 connector on the rear cross member to be able to charge the car without too much hassle. Don’t use the car as much as I used to.

Another CTEK user here.
Mine gets left on for weeks or months at a time when I am away with work. Fit & forget. I see they sponsor Harrys Garage too. Good enough for Harry, good enough for me... |

Amazon have good prices on the CTEKS at the moment. It started with a kiss, never thought it would come to this.

I am now torn whether to give a cheaper option a go or spend more for one of these ctek ones, they seem to be well regarded by many on here...
I do tend to believe in buy quality that lasts but a cheaper one may be fine anyway! |

I think the Ctek is worth the money, as said it re sets after it has been disconnected and also has the added advantage of a recon mode which normally fixes most battery issues. The other advantage is it fits inside a B&Q waterproof box so it's waterproof if need be, you can see it in the orange tube (less than £5)

I’m pretty sure Cteks are IP65 anyway, so ok as as you don’t immerse them. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Whilst CTEKs are reliable ~ one of mine has been permanently plugged into a vehicle for over 8 years; I did have an issue with another unit when the mode button would not cycle through the options. The warranty replacement process direct with CTEK was very organised and I had a replacement unit within a relatively short period of time.
